HOW TO GET THERE

  • From Chania's Airport [link]
Chania's airport is approx. 39km east of from Kolympari, approximately 30 minutes by car. The best choice is to take a taxi, which will cost approximately 30 euros. For those arriving at Chania Airport, there will be a bus that will take you directly to the Summer School. The schedule of these buses will be posted later on, based on the arrival times of the participants. For those willing to rent a car, there are car rental services at Chania's airport.
  • From Chania by Bus
The cheapest (but inconvenient) possibility is to take the bus from the airport to the city of Chania and then take the bus to Kolymbari. This  will bring you about 1km before the location of the OAC. Bus Timetables
  • From Heraklion's Airport
In case you need to fly to Heraklion there are 3 ways to reach OAC: A taxi would cost around 100 Euros for the trip. You can take the bus from Heraklion to Chania (one bus per hour). It takes 3hrs to reach Chania and then you may take a bus or taxi to Kolymbari. You may also rent a car at Heraklion airport: Heraklion is 150km from Chania, which by car takes approximately 2 hours.
  • Arriving by Boat
Finally another way to reach Chania from Athens is by boat. There are two companies involved, ANEK LINES and Minoan Lines. The boat brings you to Souda Bay, from which you can access Chania by bus.
